Vertical containers require only a small base and still offer a large usable and storage volume. However, the maintenance as well as the protective or remediation work of the container surface place special requirements due to the height. We specialize in this and coat vertical containers up to 60 meters in height. We possess both technical equipment and know-how and qualified height workers with SCC certification.
Depending on the container, your objectives and the environment, the surface protection will be discussed and specified with you in advance. For maritime or industrial environments, we recommend special corrosion protection measures that comply with DIN EN ISO 12944. The measures taken on the basis of our JHA risk assessment will also be coordinated with you in order to carry out the work under optimal safety conditions. The work platforms are determined and provided by us depending on the location.
Surface preparation is an important component of surface protection. Our experts will advise you competently and objectively on which versions are relevant and useful and whether old paint needs to be removed.
If the old paint is in order after visual testing, positive lattice section tests or pull-off tests, our experts determine which coating system for the repainting is optimally matched to the old paint. If you have records or an operating manual showing whether the paint was painted with a 1K or 2K system, this can simplify our preparatory work. Otherwise, we create a compatibility test on a test surface and check in this way whether both systems fit together.
If this is the case, then a surface preparation according to DIN EN ISO 8501-1 ST2 is sufficient, otherwise according to the same standard SA 2 1/2. With our abrasive dry ice blasting technology, we gently prepare the surfaces for the subsequent coating and thoroughly remove corrosion and, if necessary, old paints. This is followed by the complete recoating with durable, certified corrosion protection. Advertising labels or other names are also created by our advertising technology and reattached to your vertical containers by means of folding. The result: your vertical container is like new.
