Anyone who operates pressure vessels (closed containers for gases/vapours or liquids under pressure [pressure > 0.5 bar / litre]) on their premises wants and must meet special requirements in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive – for the safety of all those who work for and with them and the entire environment. Pressure vessels (including the associated plant parts) are part of the pressure systems subject to monitoring. The Operational Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV) stipulates that containers and associated plant parts must be inspected before commissioning and recurrent by an approved monitoring centre (ZÜS: > 1,000 bar / litre) or a person qualified for testing (befP: < 1,000 bar / litre).
